Lessons and programs

 

Private Lessons

Students gain the most benefit through private lessons as detailed attention from an experienced instructor builds a solid foundation maximizing their potential for success. All aspects of musical development are covered in lessons including repertoire, exercises and scales, rhythm skills, music theory and ear training. An important component of private lessons is regularly acknowledging small successes as students develop new skills which helps to keep them motivated on their musical journey. We recommend 45 minute lessons to work on each of these elements during a lesson.

Semi-Private and Small Group Lessons

We recommend this lesson structure as an alternative for younger students who are close to the same age and have similar learning styles. The focus of these lessons will be on playfulness and interaction rather than detailed instruction. It is our expectation that the parent arranges a friend of the child to join your child in the lesson. As students reach around 7 or 8 years old the learning process becomes more intense therefore we recommend either supplementing or switching to private instruction in order to keep the child on a motivated musical path.
